Hosting Information

Tangle Media prizes the performance and stability of our product.  For us, hosting is part of our cost of doing business.  We require that we provide hosting for our clients so that we can ensure quality, and be fully responsible for the service we provide.  Too often when hosting and development are split, one side makes changes without communicating to the others, and problems arise with the customer caught in the middle. Tangle Media operates a dedicated server in a secure data centre with redundant power supply and backups.  Our clients are the only sites on the server, and we don't host any sites that third parties could upload code to which could compromise our clients.  Because Tangle Media's approach and CMS is highly integrated with the server, not only can we ensure excellent technical solutions, but  we can be certain that software packages (Apache, PHP, MySQL etc) are never modified in ways which could cause incompatibility.  By controlling and directly monitoring the environment your site is hosted on, we can promise accountability and immediate response should problems ever arise.

Facilities

Tangle Media has chosen to utilize The Planet hosting services, meaning all data is located exclusively on servers in The Planet data centers. The Planet allows us to utilize one of the world's best networks to power our web sites and ensure maximum uptime. The Planet's world-class datacenters feature state of the art security, power, safety, and cooling systems - all designed to ensure that service remains uninterrupted.

Data Center Features

The Planet's four Texas-area 22,000 to 78,000 square foot world class data centers contain top of the line technology to ensure that servers stay cool, secure, and up at all times. The datacenters feature redundant power, HVAC, and fire detection systems, and are monitored 24/7 by both HostGator and The Planet's Network Operation Centers.

Monitoring

In addition to a fully redundant network and top of the line data centers, system administrators monitor all servers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Servers are monitored and issues are acted upon before they become serious. Additionally, the network and datacenters are monitored and managed by on-site technicians dedicated to ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
